Dr. Rachel Sobczak is a TMJ, Pelvic Floor and Hypermobility specialist in the field of Physical Therapy.

Dr. Rachel has been in practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy for nine years. Her career has taken her across the country, working in many Physical Therapy settings. She discovered her true calling in the Physical Therapy field when she began to study and treat Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunctions (TMJ), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (Including EDS) and Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions.

Treatment of these conditions are highly specialized and have required significant additional training. Dr. Rachel was mentored by Carol Conrades, PT and Owner of Orthopedic & TMJ Physical Therapy Center during her three years working there. She has also attended many specialized courses for the treatment and management of TMJ, hypermobility and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Although it may appear that these conditions are not related, the opposite is in fact true! This does not imply that having one condition automatically means having the others, but there is a frequent overlap among these conditions.

Dr. Rachel’s practice is rooted in creativity and discovery. As her patients will attest, her treatment methods frequently involve novel and inventive solutions as well as traditional methods to alleviate pain, enhance mobility and resolve various issues.

Dr. Rachel is passionate about identifying the underlying cause of an individual’s complaints. She views the body as an integrated whole, acknowledging the interconnectedness within the body. This often means that one’s complaints manifest in more than one isolated location. She works hard to discover, treat and empower her patients to manage their body as a whole.

She is committed to helping her patients discover the best ways to reach their goals.

Helping people move better is my calling.

My specialty is finding and treating the connections between the jaw, the pelvic floor and the connective tissues of the body.
